Diana De: leading light at the GPU

Diana De has been selected to take part in the Florence Nightingale Commemoration Service in May, at Westminster Abbey.  As one of the three scholars chosen for 2007, Diana will go to the altar to receive the lamp of knowledge, at the service that is held every year to celebrate Florence Nightingale’s birthday (which, this blogger feels obliged to point out to readers, uncannily coincides with her own).   Diana was awarded a Florence Nightingale Travel Scholarship in 2005, to travel to the Caribbean to study the management of sickle cell disease.
