The 2013 CWM Taf Health Board Research and Development Conference was held at the University of South Wales, Glyntaf Campus, on the 26th November. The conference was well attended with some interesting talks and a range of poster presentations.
GPU leader Professor Maggie Kirk gave an excellent talk presenting findings from a current project assessing the feasibility of producing a training resource to promote empathy amongst NHS staff that incorporates the patient’s experience of their physical landscape encountered as part of their illness. An audio clip ‘Beep’ was played during her talk and voting technology was incorporated into the presentation. Project team members Rhian Morgan and Juping Yu also attended the conference.
